eight months – nine rooms

walldownThe “Master” continues.
So, last week was a slow work week and I got a lot done. All evidence to the contrary. The grasscloth is up on the wall behind the bed. Awesome! and I have the mud/sand/paint process complete. The inventor of the shop vac should be canonized. I have had a tough time with paint and corners. Taping isn’t helping. I do the green (sorry, stone wall) and mess up the white. I do the white and hit the green. It’s been an exercise in futility. I think I have reached the point where I just have to except my limitations (or so many) and move on. But I’m still pondering the big white wall. While I’ve minimized the hideous “bump” you can still see it at the right angle or light. The girls suggested yesterday that I do grasscloth there too. I’m unsure how to proceed.

Do I
a. remud and sand and paint again?
b. go with the grasscloth? Not sure how I’m going to do that as I had to tape a paint brush to en extension pole to reach the top!)
c. leave it and see how it looks when the painting is up?
d. go with gasoline and a match?

See photo, your feedback is appreciated. (You can see the hump on the top photo)

While I ponder the wall, I have today started cutting the baseboards. Miters. Whose idea was this. And although I have an EXCELLENT plan in place… First cut, then paint, then put up…I even made little left and right samples so I can keep it straight which way to cut…I still have managed to screw it up twice. Plus, after running 6 miles with Ben yesterday, every trip up and down the stairs is killing me!

Hopefully full photos and completion by Thursday. Upside. Downside, not making any money.

Things left to do, boards, touch up trim, hang the light, clean the carpet, paint the painting (still waiting for inspiration).
